Hello from Sweden (Europe)

Hi!

I've just joined the forum, and am impressed with the amount of information found here!
I'm an enthousiastic recumbant bike rider. I have 2 recumbants, one ten year old and the other is brand new. I will try to add a picture later.

I usually bike around 200 km a week; twice in the weekends and every day to work. I really enjoy(ed) it, but now I am having a problem with my right knee. I've been diagnosed with patellar tendonitis by a doctor after making an MRI scan (although he said patellar tendonitis is not a good description, it's not an infection, it's an overuse problem, small tearing in the tendon) and he said it was nothing serious. But this is already 8 months ago. Everytime I start cycling again, it comes back. Running is OK. I've found that stretching really helps, but for a fairly short time. If anybody has advice for me, please let me know!

Thanks,

Berend.

Hej Berend!

Welcome to the Forums. You might get more answers to your knee question if you post it in Training and Nutrition -forum or General Discussion. Whichever you choose, please post it just once. You could also try the search function, there might be some information here about your condition already.

I’m curious, what makes a Swedish massage Swedish.
Do you lie on a slab of Feldspar?
Does the masseuse paint a yellow cross on your forehead?
Does the masseuse have to be a tall blond named Klaus Longbow?
Is the masseuse required to talk in a non-confrontational neutral tone?

Dood, I asked my Swedish friend and he said there's no such thing. Swedes confuse me with their Swedish meatballs and Swedish massages. ;)

Welcome to the forum! Where in Sweden are you located?
