Greetings from the Florida panhandle
Good day everyone,
I am not a cyclist but I fancy myself as my wife's mechanic/maintenance guy. She began cycling about a year ago and now that she has taken it serious, we purchased a Cannondale Carbon Synapse 105 for her. Over the last year I have learned a lot just by reading forums such as this and all over the internet. I by no means even consider myself an apprentice when it comes to working on her bike but I hope to learn more as time goes on. Who knows, maybe a year from now when I'm a little lighter in the pants, I will take up riding as well.
Slainte,
Chris

Welcome to Bike Forums. Why wait? Many of our members started when they were 200-300#. Cycling is a great way to lose weight. when I started riding in 1999 I was 245# and in less than 2 years I was 180# with no change in my already healthy diet.
Now, what bike are you going to get?
BTW: stop by the Southeast Regional subforum and say hello. Lots of us FL folks here.

Welcome, Chris.
Cycling can help you lose that weight. There are plenty of us who are doing it now. Check out the Clydesdales/Athenas Forum.
