Greetings from Columbus
One of the amazing, unexpected benefits of moving to Ohio was the cycling opportunities here. I had commuted by bike to school (in NC) and to work (in Boston) for years because it was just the fastest, cheapest way to get from here to there, but I had rarely taken a ride for the pure pleasure of it. Thankfully, some great folks here introduced me to road cycling, and a year and one Giant TCR Comp 1 later, I'm really enjoying all those unused farm-to-market roads and the big hills in the south-east. This year I'm looking foward to TOSRV and RAIN again, as well as giving randonneuring a shot. Mostly, I'm looking forward to a season of great rides with wonderful people. Who'd have thought I'd find something as much fun as all the skiing and hiking that New England had to offer?
