Returning to cycling
Hi,
Having lurked on forum for some time to learn about cycling and for help on buying the right bikes, have finally taken the plunge and bought us each a Trek Domane 5.2. We had been cycling occasionally for years using our (very old) bikes, a Specialized and a Dawes galaxy respectively, but as we have both retired and live in a very hilly area (Chiltern hills in England) we needed some modern light bikes which were comfortable. We've been riding for many years, but only occasionally, and rather slowly! Having got nice bikes it is much more encouraging and we have actually overtaken the odd person (including somebody under 80 years old).
Realised that age-wise MAMIL was a little optimistic in my case, so OFIL (Old F*rt In Lycra) seems a bit more appropriate!
Cheers,
Pete
