Visiting Philadelphia an looking for tips.
I'm going to visiting Philadelphia next month and would like to do some riding while I'm there. I'm looking for recommendations on best where to rent a road bike. I'm also looking for some tips on good places to ride while I'm there.

1---Welcome to BF!
2---There are two books (both used and cheap on Amazon): Robot Check and https://www.amazon.com/Where-Bike-Phi...n+philadelphia
3---On where to rent a bike--- The Northeast regional discussion section of this forum may help, and I’m sure you’ll get leads by Googling bicycle rentals in Philadelphia.
Good luck with your trip! Hope it turns out to be a good time, but do bear in mind that Philadelphia isn’t all milk, honey, sweetness and light. It might be prudent to choose where you go in Philly and when you go there with care.

This is the Introductions forum. Everyone in the world reads this forum. Ask the folks in the Northeast Regional subforum. They live there and can offer suggestions.

I just happened to read your post...
On renting...I don't know too many shops in town that rent road bikes, but I've also never really asked. There's a shop near new hope that does. Another option is to advertise on Craigslist.
What size do you ride, and what are your preferences?
As far as where to ride, it really depends on what you want. Scenery? Climbing? Some gravel finding? The city is generally a very good place to ride, but you're not going to really get going with all the lights (and it's flat).
