Hey!!
Hi, I am Pete from upstate NY. I've been riding regularly for about 10 years. I won't tell my age but I started when I was 38. Cycling seems to be the only thing that keeps the weight off me. I love the fact that only one of my 4 kids will cycle with me because they can't keep up. Road bike, mountain bike I do both. I recently started doing my own maintenance, which my bike shop loves since they often times have to bail me out but practice makes perfect and now I have BikeForums touse as a reference tool.

Welcome to the forum Pete. My son won't ride with me either. He doesn't understand how anyone in their right mind wants to ride 100 miles on a bike. The last time we rode was only a metric and I had to rush back home and get a car to come and get him. I think he quit at abut 40 miles.
