new guy from nebraska

I just found this site and had to sign on. Started my cycling life as a roadie, found my real calling in ITT, and just started mountain biking about six years ago. My bikes are a softride Power V set up w/ 650c and ultegra 600 for ITT, and old Cannondale 2.8, now on its eighth life, just getting a bunch of new goodies from Uncle Sam, and an equally old Cannondale Super V that is enjoying my tax return as well. Thats all for now.

Welcome to the forums. It's good to see some great bikes being revitalized. Keeping our bikes going is often very helpful at keeping us going as well.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I've been torn many times as to weather I should upgrade my old bike or get a new one. your bike, over time becomes like an old pair of shoes, no longer shiney or in fashion, but very comfortable

There's a "vintage" bike ride around here that shows how much some people and their bikes fit together rather well. They say that people eventually start looking like their dogs. I think the same may be said about people and their bikes.
