Hello from Joisey

I haven't ridden a bike more than a couple of times around the block in 30 + years, but rode a beach cruiser on vacation this year and thought I'd start since I can't swim laps anymore after the pool closes for the summer.

I started riding a too small old Cannondale that was in the garage and then bought a used hybrid off Craigslist a few weeks ago. I try to ride 13-15 miles after work everyday and am really starting to like it. My first couple of rides were 13 miles and although I wasn't tired, my butt was sore as hell. Now I'm used to it.

Maybe in the spring I will upgrade, but right now my Trek 750 is fine for riding around town and through the park. I'd like to go on some organized rides next year also. I just wish it didn't get dark so early now I'm hoping this turns into a new addition to supplement my "stay young" routine (turn 55 next week).

Get some lights and find some quiet roads and keep riding.
