New Guy from KCMO
What's up everyone!
I'm Travis Young, new guy who basically just stumbled into biking.
Had to buy a cheap ass commuter for school. Bought a complete singlespeed SE Draft from city grounds for the extremely low budget that I had. I think it clocks in at like 28lbs or something.

Just needed some wheels to get from campus and dorms. As time went on, I educated myself a little bit here and there, stopped rocking the saddle slammed to the seatpost, painted the wheels gold, and started upgrading parts here and there and ended up with this.

Graduated now, so I don't really need to commute, so I've been using the bike for play. Bought some tools the other day after countless googles and youtube searches and ripped apart the the bike (or any bike really) for the first time to figure out what everything is, what its called, what it does, how it connects, how it works, just trying to educate myself and be mindful of relationships and weights of various parts.

Decided to then sign up and join a forum. Everyone I know isn't really into biking and I am just left with a bigger desire to learn more about it and the culture.
I've been wanting to upgrade to something lighter and go full fixed (feel like a kid with this single speed/coaster brake setup) but haven't really been pushed to make the jump.
Leader recently had a promotion on their 2015 725 models w/ a carbon/alloy fork for $299 off so I decided, fugz it, goin in on it and building my first fixed setup.
Don't really know what I'm doing, my skillset and knowledge probably doesn't justify the purchase, but hey, I'm here to learn and have a good time. Figured joining a forum would help propel my interest in it all.
