Hello from sunny Colorado

Hello there. I have just discovered the bike forum when looking around for general info on bikes. I am somewhat new to cycling…while I rode all the time years ago it had been ages (15 years) since I got on a bike. Then I went to Amsterdam for a week and it all came back to me… and I discovered it is true what they say… you never forget how to ride a bike. I returned to Colorado and bought two bikes, one Linus Dutch style bike because I do so love to pretend I'm in Amsterdam, and one Surly Disc Trucker because I realized while the Dutchi was very cool and EVERYONE that passed me said how beautiful it was, it was slow to get around on. So I bought the Disc Trucker from a friend with a bike shop who built it especially for me, so now I can commute to work a few days a week.
I am female, over 50, work in downtown Denver and ride the Cherry Creek bike path every day, love this beautiful state of Colorado….and oh yes, I never outgrew the Grateful Dead.
I am glad to have found this forum. I am sure I will have many questions in the weeks to come….

I loved riding the Cherry Creek path back when I lived in Denver (early 1990s). It tied into the Platte River path which ties into every other path lol -
