hey from PA

hey everybody, just signing myself up. I think I"ll be on here a lot looking for info or knowledge, figured I'd join and maybe find a place to contribute something myself. I just recently (after 3 years) replaced my stolen panasonic SS conversion. I picked up a 10 speed motobecane nomade II. I know its not the best frame they made, but i'm tall, so its not every day I find a decent price on a bike that actually fits me. I got it for $80, and while the paint isnt the prettiest, it rides great, needed nothing, and it actually fits me. I also put together an old mixte frame for my fiance that I have no idea who made it or the vintage of it. It's a super cool bike tho, I'll probably be asking for help identifying it later. I'm a tinkerer by nature, so even if I dont necessarily need to take the bike apart, I might just to understand it more. And im sure at some point I will take something apart that I wasnt supposed to or it will come apart and pieces will go flying, but thats how I learn. I like the ride of the older bikes, I'm not a racer, probably not even a serious biker compared to most of you, but I will be upgrading/equipping the bike to make my riding more enjoyable, wherever it is I'm riding.

Our family owned firm was founded in 1948 by our father H. M. Rodgers Jr.. He started as an electrical instructor in the US Navy prior to contracting. Through the years our company has evolved and grown from doing small residential and commercial electrical jobs in the 1950's and 1960's to managing and performing much larger, more complex and diverse projects today.
