Mike's Bikes From SW Florida

Hello Fellow Bikers,

It's been about 15 years since I came home from college break and discovered that my father had Donated my beloved freestyle Bike away. Yes, it's still his garage but no, he didn't have the right to sell it without asking me. That bike was a Haro Group 1 FTS Freestyle bike which I have now found to be quite rare to locate.

I signed up on the forum today to learn a little about the bike world today and reminisce about the past. Also, my new career has lead me to seek out some of the pricing of these older freestyle bikes. Today, for no reason at all, I impulsively just bought a (Royce Royal Static T-18 Freestyle Bike) at a garage sale and I would like see if I can learn the value of it, sell it or trade it, and use that cash to see if I can track down my original old Haro Bike.
Hopefully, its still out there somewhere...

Thanks for setting this forum up, I've already enjoyed reading through some of the post-
Cheers,
Mike

welcome mike,

You're not alone! when I started college my Mongoose FS-1 got considerably less usage. My mom gave it away to her co-workers son while I was out of town. I didnt even know until the next spring when I tried to go for a ride on the old trails in my hometown.

Plenty of great bikes out there just waiting for you. your haro has moved on.

Wow, nice bike Catonec. It looks very similar to my old Haro. Anyways, great story, I knew I wasn't alone one out their with this experience- When I have kids, I plan on creating a signed contact stating that their bike & stuff is all theirs and they are responsible for it. But Mostly explaining that nobody can sell it without their permission. lol.

I deal with vintage items on a daily basis and have made a career out of it so I should know, but the truth is it is not a set amount of time but more so a human generation I guess. I use it when describing an item that is from a past generation... It could be one, two or three generations... When its older than that, I use the term Mid-Century. I bet your just the Rare Vintage Type. :-)
