Hello from Texas

I am new to forums, and Schwinn trikes. I am a recently retired educator and looking forward to pedaling for exercise and enjoyment. I live on a lake in a rural area and the scenery is absolutely beautiful...any time of the year. I will admit that there was definitely a learning curve in getting comfortable in riding the trike. I have always ridden a traditional two wheeler. It was hard not to try to balance a trike like I did a bike, but I accomplished that. Now I need some help in solving a clanking or clunking problem with the trike. Hope I can get some information from more advanced bikers and 'trikers'.

welcome to BF.

as far as your clanking issue we will need some sort of info to help you solve it. is it only when your pedaling or all the time? does it happen in all gears?? Is it only under heavy load (hard to pedal)? do you have accessories on your bike like a pump, bag, mirror, flag, streamers????? Is your bike new or used?

Without any info I would first say to examine your chain, tensioners (if any), and derailleur alignment/setup.

Cheers kelley171, welcome to Bike Forums.

If the problem persists, post a description in our Bicycle Mechanics forum.
