Hi from Ontario

Hi everyone,

I just want to say that I am happy to join after many years of reading posts that have helped me with my cycling hobby; riding, repairing and restoring. In going forward, I hope to participate and possibly contribute in some of the discussions. My favourite bike is the Miyata 1000LT and my present project is a 1977 Centurion Pro-Tour (silver).

Thanks, Mid.

Hello Midmts,

Welcome to the forum from the left coast. I have a Miyata 750SR that I don't know a lot about.
I was wondering if maybe you do?

Hi and thanks for the welcome.

I believe the Miyata 750-sr is really a Koga Miyata of very good quality. I don't really know much about the 750-sr, but check out the following link; it's in german but you can google translate.

Stahl Rennrad, Singlespeed, Fixie, Randonneur und Vintage Classic Bike Raritšten :: Koga Miyata 750SR

Hi Midmts,

Thanks for the reply and the link to that bike. Now I have an idea of what my bike would have looked like when it was new. That is a great colour gold. I just wish mine was in as good a shape as the one in the link. Mine is still a twelve speed, as far as I know it has all the original components but I'll make a list of what's on it. The one difference I do see is the decal on the seat tube of mine states Miyata Cycle where the one on link states Miyata. Is there a difference between Miyata and Koga Miyata?

I'm so glad I said hello to you as I've learned a bit more about my Miyata 750 SR. What about your Miyata 1000 LT? I don't know a lot about Miyata bicycles at all. There seems to be a lot of folks on this site who love Miyata's.
