Cannondale caadx tiagra disc or trek crossrip elite

Hi there. This is all new to me and I am in the market for a new ride. I currently have a Scott Sub 30 and wanting something quicker and more versatile as the bike I currently ride is a bit heavy. In other words, I'd like to chew up some more miles on the road and maybe take a gravel road in the process. I have narrowed my choice down to the Cannondale Caadx tiagra disc and Trek Crossrip Comp or Elite. I can get a better deal on the Cannondale, but love the looks of the Trek. I'm an amateur rider wanting to graduate to drop bars and still be a bit upright. Any advice would be helpful.

Much obliged

Welcome to Bike Forums, chippah.

This is the introductions forum and is the place to introduce yourself, say hello, and post a bit about yourself.

Seeing as it really isn't the correct place to ask about recommendations, I suggest that you re-post your question in the General Cycling Discussion forum or in the Road Cycling forum.
