Seasons Greetings from northern indiana

Hey, I've been doing some internet research on different bikes, and keep finding myself here, so I decided to sign up. I'm moving away from home, and I can't drive, so a biking and bussing are going to wind up my primary form of transport, so I want something a bit heartier than a walmart bike, which is what I grew up with.
