Hello People on the Internet!
So! My name's Nelson, I'm from Winnipeg, via Calgary in Canada.
As most young gentlemen growing up in the suburbs, I learned to ride a bike when I was very young, then promptly forgot about bikes once I got a drivers licence.
I bought an electra cruiser bike back in 2005 and it was cute for a bit, but an absolute unwieldily tank to move around, ride, park, store, or pretty much anything a person can think of.
More recently, my partner and I purchased a couple of vintage road bikes... Pictures to eventually appear in the vintage and classic bikes sub-forum. We're fixing up this bikes during the winter so that we can have some fun riding them this coming warm season!
Aside from bikes, I'm also into hobbyist electronics... putting LEDs, sensors, motors, and circuits together to make stuff interact with the world... that sort of thing!

Can I piggyback off Nelson's intro? I'm "the partner". I rode a Canadian Tire mountain bike for most of high school, then didn't ride again until my early 20s when I got an Electra cruiser. I was terrified to ride in traffic, but am working on it because I'm not a driver. I did most of my basic errand commutes on the cruiser up until it started to get really cold, but I might start riding in the winter on warmer days, too. I like the idea of being able to do my own maintenance and have done some very basic tune up stuff to my own bike so far. I'm also an artist.
