So I have been lurking around the forum for a couple of months and I realized I really should post an introduction.

Im 27 and transplanted from PA to NC after college. I consider myself a rider but until this year I haven't been super serious. I would ride a couple hundred miles a year doing some 30-40 mile rides with friends during the summer.

This year I have decided I want to get much more serious about riding to supplement the amount I run (20+ miles/week) and build my endurance in both. I have a goal of completing a couple thousand miles this year on the bike. I also want to complete a minimum of 1 Sprint Tri before the end of the year, but I think I may be able to accomplish that before the summer in which case I may try to tackle more, or longer distances! I also want to knock out a century ride before 2016 and my brother is conveniently moving 112 miles away...could that be a sign?

Im currently riding a 2013 Fuji Altamira and really love it, although I always catch myself looking at other things (the shiny new super bikes are always so appealing!!!). I think this year is also going to be the year I add a Tri Bike to my garage depending on how serious I get. I also need to do some serious work to my swim but these things will come in time. Im getting on the forum here to try and get a better grasp on a lot of the technical aspects and verbage that goes along with riding, I still can't tell you what "cement mixing" is among other things.
