Intro time
Wanted to introduce myself. 54 year old male, been riding about a year on a 20 year old Trek hybrid. Looking to get a new bike and came here for help. Reviewed the site and not even sure where to post my question Lol. This bike stuff is very confusing. I am a big guy 290lbs. and I ride country roads (very hilly). I ride around 15 miles a trip and would like to occasionally stretch it out. I like the hybrid/comfort/fitness style of bike and was looking for some reccomendations. I have been told I need double wall rims and that is about as far as I have gotten. If you can point me in the right direction I would welcome the help. I have a few dealers 45 miles away both carry Trek and sorta leaning that way. Look forward to interacting on this board and hopefully getting a little more involved in the sport.

Welcome to Bike forums, Lou Ville!
I'd suggest asking your questions about a new bike in our Clydesdales & Athenas forum. Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg)

welcome, do check out the section that was suggested....sounds like you might check out the trek FX series and have some wheels built.
