Basic bike

Regarding basic bike repairs skills... Most of can rattle the spanners and fix our bikes by now, even down to sorting a flat tyre..
Don't get me wrong bike shops do a grand job that some folk with limited skills just can't do...

Bike repairs is a skilled job from Turing wheels to welding frames.. It would be good if local bicycle shops offered learn class to involve more people to learn better skills..

What do you think people...

Welcome to Bike Forums. Many bike shops do offer the Park Tool class. I took the 5 session class in 2005(?).

I'll usually watch a couple youtube videos before I attempt a repair on my bicycle or other items. The internet is a great resource. I wish I had it 30 years ago.

Some bike shops offer classes. Many cities have bike co-ops that do the same.

Hi, I have found between this site and bicycletutor.com I can fix most stuff that goes wrong! Some stuff I still let the lbs fix mainly as I don't own some of the tools.
