Hello from Norther Califoria, SF Bayarea
Hello all,
I just found this forum and am happy I did. I have an early 80's era Univega Gran Tourismo (1984 from what I've been able to find). I've had the bike a few years and ridden a few long rides (50+) and do a weekly ride with a few friends on the weekends from 25 to 30 miles.
Bike has most of the original parts still, with only a few changes I've made, like new bar tape, brake hoods, seat and post, tires and tubes, pedal cage, 2nd water bottle cage, bike bag for rear rack, black fenders and a computer.
This bike is the most fun to ride. I grew up on bmx and moutain bikes, but gave my last mountain bike away when I got the Univega.
Look forward to seeing more pics of these great bikes and the personal touches everyone has done. Ride on!!!
