Forum Member Artkansas has Died

I just heard about this yesterday on the 50+ forum - he was only 62, and died of a heart attack. They've started a remembrance thread over there, but I thought I'd share it here as well.

He posted a lot in the LCF forum; there aren't enough of us here, so it especially hurts to lose such a kind and thoughtful person. A link to threads he started - many of them in this forum:
https://www.bikeforums.net/search.php?searchid=13034819

Here is a link to his obiturary: Obituary for Gordon Fisher | Gillespie & Kelly Funeral Home

Quote from his obit "In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you purchase a bicycle and give it to a child "In Loving Memory of" Gordon. to see more of Gordon's accomplishments with computer programs go to www.pointhappy.com"

Still a great guy even after death.

Thanks for posting a link to his posts but it didn't seem to work when I tried it. It would be nice to look back at what he had to say in light of his passing.

Still a great guy even after death.
The bodily form returns to dust but everything we say and do in life to affect the world we live(d) in will always continue in some form or other. Thank God this person chose to reach out to others in an LCF forum to support others like himself morally. People may forget your name or your writings, but the effect you had on them remains a part of their being always.

Here's a link to his profile and then you can click "find latest started threads" which actually shows threads going back for years.

Quite sad. I don't think he ever said anything negative about anyone. He created numerous good topics of discussion. He will be missed.

I'm so sad. Artkansas was an early member of this forum and posted much of value over the years. He was always kind and concerned. Whenever I've been sick or faced difficulties, he has PMed his support and kind thoughts. Even though I never actually met him, I think of him as a true friend.
