Yes, I saw that. It's just the beginning. Clean, renewable energy is here to stay, despite what the fossil fuel lovers who troll this subforum say.

Posting threads and having discussions about green energy is what I would consider trolling, because it has absolutely nothing to do with transportational cycling , living car-free or living car-light...I said this before and I'll say it again: Green energy is the biggest scam this world has ever seen, with billions of dollars wasted for nothing. Green energy will make life very expensive for future generations.

If I ever reach a state in which I can't pedal very well due to old age or injury, it's nice to know that I could get an electric bike and that I when I plug it in the energy will be coming from a clean source. Riding around on a coal burner isn't my cup of tea.

EDIT; OK, I thought of something to say... That's like saying man will never ever fly, after watching the wright brothers fly their first few hundred feet...

If you take a step back from the various corruptions of capitalizing green energies and technologies (as well as the corruptions of their opponents), you should be able to see that there is benefit in switching from fossil fuels to cleaner and more renewable sources, and to reducing our industrial impact on nature, especially as population continues to grow.
Absolutely. Once you are secured in being able to ride a bike for transportation, you may start to realize that it's possible to more with less in so many other ways as well, and that doing so is ultimately beneficial for nature and humanity. Consumer reforms don't have to end with energy-efficient lightbulbs and devices. There are so many ways we could reduce the impact of individuals on each other and nature.
