Now I'm confused, if you "don't 'want' yours or anyone else's personal information" then why did you post in reply to me:

Be glad to fill you in if on that request if you do likewise.

Well, I just meant basically if you can relate to LCF and employment then post about it. I wasn't specifically wanting anyone to post personal details of their lives. Some people take the things you post and extrapolate their relationship to personal details of your life you didn't post, but I don't see any need for that. It's not that hard to just have general-level discussions without specifically referring to any details of your personal life.

This thread is like a Seinfeld episode, it's about Nothing.

Is it "squaring off" to disagree?

Not always. Sometimes it is considered trolling, or insulting, or the meanness of a conspiracy, or at best, not understanding or wishing to engage in discussion of the unique "critical thinking" process that produces an imaginary situation, problem or premise posted on this list.

When you're looking for opportunities to square off, yes.

It's presumptuous and silly for you to doubt that my repeated disagreement with your statements is not genuine given how outrageous your statements frequently are as perceived not only by me but many others as well.

There's nothing in this thread that I've said that you are arguing with. Anything you're talking about is from some other thread. You just started squaring off against me in this thread for that reason. Stop dragging your conflicts with me into new threads.

It has nothing to do with whether I think your sentiments are genuine or not. It's the fact that you are arguing with me literally over nothing except for the fact that I am present in this thread. I've said nothing for you to disagree with in this thread. You are simply baiting and replying to whatever I say back. It is pure back and forth, which proves you are just squaring off against me to engage in interpersonal conflict. It is aggressive and you should stop. I don't know why the mods let you get away with it.

@tandempower ... take a deep breath ... and another ... now read the first 14 posts in this thread.

We all responded very politely and reasonably to you, and even gave you a helpful suggestion. It was you who exploded all over your own thread.

Now ... if you would like this thread to continue ... go back to those first 14 posts, and read them again.

As an outsider I felt the first 14 posts were combative more so defensive. IDk what happened in the last thread you all seem to be refering to. No where here did it ask about people denying you jobs because of your lack of transportation but that seemed to be part of the meat and all of your glowing praise for lcf as if there are no problems or concerns you or anyone should have.

I can think of plenty concerns and i've been asked about having reliable transport to get to a job. You can debate amongst yourselves who would think what and if they were right or justified in making hiring decisions about it. aside from that plenty of other concerns about lcf and employment or bike commuting in general. Weather of course, being limited in distance one can travel for work, need for feasible roads to get there not 1 way to go down a high speed, no shoulder, curvy, riddled with blind corners road. Changing at work etc that i've seen discussed plenty of times.

I know the lcf crowd can be touchy almost as bad as A&S which is a regular crap fest. The main reason i don't get to these forums too much as well as the fascination with gear but little talk about technique is my other complaint. but yea y'all got problems don't take it personally op. Don't poke the A&S or LCF crowd.

Bandera comes out with look zero see which was kind of a rude statement for no reason. And i believe I've had walter s blocked for a while myself.
