Boston car-free? A group trying to make it happen

Everyone here should support the group. If a city like Boston went "more/partly" car-free, it might encourage a lot of others to follow suit.

I guess some of the tunnels have been carfree for a while. Squishing the cars is a good start, but maybe you should wait until the people are out of them before you drop heavy weights on their cars.

The amazing thing is that the Big Dig is about 10 billion over the original budget. I mean first of all, you'd think after the first billion someone would have said, "Hmmm...maybe we need to reevaluate what we're doing here," right? Secondly, can you imagine the amazing things that could have been done to help people, the economy, the environment with 10 billion?!
