Car Free Day
Apparently today (September 22) is International Car Free Day. Doesn't matter much to me because every day is car free for me. *lol* The only reason I found out today is "car free day" is because at work today they set up a little toll for bringing your car to work - if you drove to work you were supposed to give a (voluntary) donation to the people standing at the parking lot entrance. The money is going to the Workplace Charitable Campaign we have running right now.

I celebrated by cycling to work the long way. 25% of our company commutes to work by bicycle.

Unfortunately, International Car Free Day changed absolutely nothing where I live. I rode as usual, but there was no increase in bike traffic that I could see. Maybe they should hold this event in June, when people are more likely to ride. It sure got cold early this year...

Every day is a car free day for life. It's like a holiday that never ends.
