Last year and half I drove a lot!
My new basement is located 3 miles from work. Not ideal, but will manage. No transit to work. BIG

Yeah, 3 miles is not ideal. 
I prefer a 5 mile bicycle commute to work.

Are you saying you live in the basement? Did you live upstairs before the new basement?

Come to think of it, I also lived in my parent's basement for my senior year of college. That was super nice. It was a walk-in basement with private entrance and bathroom. I sure appreciated them for letting me live there!
