Displaying pix of where I live would depress most cyclists. I ride mostly on the trainer. However, I have some great pix of Moab that I will share…

Nice pictures there.
"Looking down on the Tasman Bridge ..."

is the best one that caught my eye

@tandempower ... have a look at the photos I posted in this thread. See all the green fuzzy stuff all over the hills and up the side of Mt Wellington, and all over the place? Most of that is eucalyptus trees. And that represents just a teensy-tiny portion of the eucalyptus trees here in Australia.

Here's an article about them: Parks & Wildlife Service - Eucalypt Forests

And no, I don't want to get into a discussion about your idea to clear fell them all. I really don't want to get into a discussion about eucalypts at all. Just look ... and read.

And if you feel like posting something in this particular thread, seeing as it was bumped the other day ... post a photo of the area around where you live! :D

I thought this was a thread about a group of senior cyclists having a senior moment after a ride.

Hahahaha!

No ... just an attempt to show that we all live in different areas and different conditions. :)

We don't have to discuss it, but I wish you would just understand that I would not mean that all eucalypti would be removed in a single huge project. I just don't think like that. I think in terms of gradual pattern changes at the speed of nature, which is slow. If humans decide to gradually replace one ecosystem or geographical land-use pattern with another, they can simply because they/we have the ability to intentionally steer our choices in the direction we want to go. It's sort of like cleaning your house by doing a little each day. Then, the house stays clean instead of waiting until it's dirty and trying to make a big project of cleaning it all at once.
