213 more miles!
What would your city look like with 213 more miles of bike infrastructure? It looks like that's what could be on the table in DC. The map looks like a spiderweb of awesome.
Cutting ribbons, cutting cake (oh, and also 213 miles of new bike infrastructure proposed) |
To put it in perspective, Wikipedia says, "There are 1,500 miles (2,400 km) of public roads in the city, of which 1,392 miles (2,240 km) are owned and maintained by the District government." So 213 miles isn't a lot (14%), but it's a step in the right direction--and worth celebrating, IMO.

For Little Rock that would be a lot. It was a big struggle to get 10s of miles.

Er, it would look ridiculous because I don't have a city, I have a town and it is exactly only 0.3 miles long. Just long enough for a bank, post office, funeral home, and an auto shop. Then you're out in farm country again.

213 more than we have now

Here's a little more info of what they're looking at. If this happens I would be so happy.
