Spoiler Alert: LEL
For those of you following London-Edinburgh-London, it looks like the first rider has finished with a time of around 50 hours.
This while people are still arriving in Edinburgh with time in hand!

This is going to sound really grouchy, but I don't care about the fastest rider(s). They don't really have much of a story to tell other than that they rode from Point A to B and to A again.
Of much more interest are the slow riders who inevitably have some interesting tales to tell... whether of overcoming major challenges, interacting with the locals and locales, or making new riding friends along the way.

+1. A friend of mine had to pull the plug in Louth when there were no beds to be found during her planned sleep stop. I messaged her that she should try something lower key next year, like RAGBRAI.

I was thinking that if he averaged 30km/h, he might have been pushing the envelope all the way on control *opening times*. 63 is more reasonable.

"Closer to reasonable" in my book. Given that LEL is 1440(?)k, 63 is blisteringly fast. And every photo I've seen shows him riding solo!
I hope to ride LEL someday, but more likely in the "100-hour club".

it's just really fragile. But once I get the "security token expired" error message, I haven't figured out how to make it work again other than to move on to another computer
