No one's talking about this guy?

240 miles a day, riding from 4AM to 10PM at night. Round the world in 80 days via bike (plus plane ) He should be done in a few days now. Currently in the middle of Spain....

Well, Mark Beaumont has just finished with one day to spare, much like Phileas Fogg :-)

It's an astonishing feat of endurance - over 18,000 miles on 4-5 hours of sleep a day.

Interesting choice of bike too (Koga) which I'd never heard of until today.

Yep, pretty insane. Sounds like he was lucky not to have any serious crashes or medical issues en route. Of course, now he has to come up with an encore.

Koga has been around for some time, I think they're from Belgium or the Netherlands. IIRC they have a line of touring bikes that people in the US have heard of (at least, I have).
