Mavic Ksyrium Elite

Do any of you use the Mavic wheels. I've read a lot of bad things about them and I don't know if its blown out of proportion or not. They are running a pretty good sale on them and I was thinking about buying a set. Right now I'm using Fulcrum Race 3s and I have around 17k on them with no problems, but I thought I would try something different.
Thanks for any replies.

I work with a former wrencher (he's one of our top analysts) and he recommends them highly. In his opinion while they are on the heavier side (so not the best for racing), their hubs are excellent and the rims bomb-proof. Aksiums came stock on my SuperSix evo and he told me to ride them to the ground before I think of dropping big $ for lighter/sexier wheels and put the dough elsewhere.
i trust this guy as he knows his way around a bike and did some awesome work for another colleague that is also a distance rider (loves riding centuries) and former triathlete.
Exact opposite of what others have said in this forum but:
1) the bloke is a top notch analyst and problem-solver
2) was a bike mechanic for years and still knows lots of people in many of the bike shops here
3) did a bang up job tuning my mate's supersix evo
4) has an encyclopedic knowledge of anything cycling-related
Worth a try I reckon.

Mavic 319 wheels with 13,000+ miles on them. Zero problems, ZERO.
