2,200 km, 4 days 17 hours 40 minutes
FYI
http://www.sportzhub.com/site/index....=2011&Itemid=1 Colin ended his epic ride at 11.40 pm. He set a new record for this 2,200 km ride in a time of 4 days 17 hours 40 minutes. He broke the old record of 4 days 19 hours 50 minutes by 2 hours, 10 minutes |
how far is that in miles? :D :)
|
1320 miles, for us Yanks. ;)
Pretty impressive. Maybe he should try RAAM one of these days. :D |
From what I hear RAAM is just 20 minutes of hard cycling, 20 minutes of rest (while your partner goes) for 4 hours, then you can rest, eat shower ect. for 4 hours while the other team of 2 cyclists go and repeat.
They do that for like a few days or so? Sounds harder on the crew than the riders. 1320 miles in under 5 days solo sounds a lot harder. |

So, yeah, basically Kiwi RAAM ... or RANZ, if you will. |
Thanks for the info. I'd like to do that ride but take a couple of weeks when your "Christmas Trees" are blooming.

The photo on the website of a signpost "Bluff, New Zealand" may have given some people a clue as to location...
