Anyone care to discuss BRAG

Hello,

I'm looking to do BRAG (Bike Ride Across Georgia) in June. It looks like a great time and I'd love to hear any comments or experiences you might have. Anyone familiar with Georgia? I understand that central Georgia is pretty hilly but it flattens as you near the coast.

Thank you.

Hilly compared to Illinois maybe, but choppy up and downs are not a problem
when riding 60-90mi days in the summer. Several friends have done this and
really enjoyed it. You might try a post on the Southeast forum in the Regional
section for more details. I think you will find the part of Georgia ridden is no
worse than Delaware (east) and not as hilly as Delaware (west).

My son and I rode BRAG last year. The hills in middle Georgia are rollers, and it flattens as you near the coast. Few difficult grades unless you're in the mountains of North Georgia. BRAG was lots of fun, and we will be there again this year.

I'll be there as well. Since I'm riding with my little boy, on BRAG I ride a Trek T100 tandem. He's easier to spot than me - usually in his Spongebob or Shrek jersey, perched about 12" higher than it looks like he should be, because of the kid-back kit we've got installed on our bike.

I'll be there with my mom, my wife, and my son.
