ride preparation
Hi All
I am signed up to do a 275 km charity ride on Aug. 1st. I have done some 100-140 km rides recently as preparation, and was planning to do a 200 km ride on the Saturday 2 weeks before the event, and a 100 km ride 1 week before. Due to other commitments, I will be unable to ride that weekend (2 weeks prior), other than a 60-70 km ride on the Monday. Is it too close to the event if I were to do a 200 km ride 1 week prior, or should I avoid that long of a ride that close?
Thanks for any advice
Jeff

How long of a ride you can handle 1 week before your event is totally up to you. It's a matter of knowing how long you take to recover from a particular distance before you're ready for another long ride.
There's a guy with my local club who did a couple 1000k rides just 2 weeks apart from each other.
