Great Divide Mountain Bike Route
Just like to ask of who here has ridden the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route .
What route or routes did you ride?
What did you think of it?
Is the route totally uninterrupted or does it disappear sometimes, due to development etc?

2010 there was a fatality also as a rider came round a bend on a dirt road and hit a pickup truck head-on.

Ride the Divide
Watch the film "Ride the Divide". If nothing else, it will give you a good overview of the mental state of the participants before and during the race. It's brutal. In a good way.

last year I gave it shot, rode from Banff to Butte in 7 days, and bonked in a crazy way, with saddle sores like never before...
its a beautiful experience, of what I managed to try. Its forever changed my scope of cycling. That is, a day on the bike, a series of climbs, a bike tour, etc... all of that now has a different measure.
