Training programmes to have a successful RAAM?

Hi Team,

I come from a Ironman background and am looking to start ultra distance cycling. I have ridden several 200 mile rides as well as a 350 mile 24hrs race. I'm hooked!!! My question is -

What training must I adopt to beat the British record for RAAM in 2016? I will be able to train most days as well as putting in the miles at weekends.

I appreciate any comments

Mark Pattinson is a really nice guy and he would probably talk to you about this. I know someone that attempted RAAM, and failed. I have no idea what his training was like, but I do know he is a lot faster than me.
Randonneuring -- it's touring for people that aren't smart enough to stop for the night.
It's a wonderful sport when you can make up for a lack of ability with a lack of sleep
