How to carry Chamois Cream on long rides?

I would prefer not to carry a whole container of my chamois cream on 200K+ rides. I am assuming I am not alone. How do others carry enough to reply at a control without carrying the whole container?

Carry some in an empty container.

Those are nice.
I carry changes of kit w/ wet wipes & required unguents in pre-packs.
Quick clean-off, fresh kit and Go w/ soiled kit quickly re-packed.
Very efficient for long/wet days on self-supported rides.

I just carry a little tube of Ozonol, which goes into a plastic ziplock bag in my handlebar bag with things like my wetwipes, etc. so that I can grab that ziplock bag and go into the toilet and take care of whatever I need to take care of.

You can find some in handy packets, such as

Doc's Natural Chamois Cream Sample Packets

Chamois Butt'r's products come in individual use packets. I've found them quite handy.

I use either Chamois Butt'r or Bag Balm carried in a 35mm film container. I've been putting it in my saddle bag for years. So far, it's never come open.

REI has a lot of small containers (like this) if you have a store near you. I have a lot of these Endurolyte holders, which aren't an ideal solution but would do the trick. There are also a ton of little pill containers like this that would work.

I use the smaller version of that REI container. Two of them -- one for sunscreen, one for chamois cream. It's several applications of sunscreen and one application of chamois cream. Both go into a ziplock in case of leakage.
