Me too. 199 this weekend. It's a long time since I was under 200. I'm pleased, considering that I haven't been able to train properly for over three weeks.

Hey! Congrats!

I did exactly the same. Bought myself a new Surly LHT as a reward and rode it 95 miles yesterday. Woot!

Getting closer to ericm979. 149.7 lbs this morning. Of course ericm979 is a lot taller than I am. I seem to be on a sustained downward trend which is good.

My body fat scale says I'm 5% bf. I know that's a lie. My doctor's scale (a cheaper version of what I have) says 12%. If that's right then I have plenty to lose, but when I got to 138 (which if I'm at 12% now would be 10%) a couple years ago I felt that was too low and I lacked reserves.

I suppose I need some other numbers to really confuse the issue.

142.6

Last night I finished the main course that my wife made and asked if there was any more. "I already gave you the rest" was not what I wanted to hear.

You are getting perilously close to RR. Are you doing the EC this year?

191.0 this morning. I'm just not doing the LSD needed to put me in fat burning mode, nor enough hours to burn the calories. I've cut back on intake some, but apparently not quite enough, as I'm bouncing around in the 189-191 range.

Still the usual fatty @ 188. I'm pondering making a push to loose a bunch for the upcoming cyclo cross season. State Champs are the 3rd weekend in Oct. and I age up during the season to Cyclo Cross 60+ due to the World Champ time line. That might give me a good chance for a State Jersey. Maybe somewhere in the 170's would be good? I don't think I'll need reserves for a 40 minute race. I'll have to get my wife on my side as she thinks I'm too lean now.

Does she use the word "chicken", when she looks at you? That's what I get.

Yes. I am a slow learner.
Also the Mt Whitney stage race and possibly Fremont Peak hillclimb.

Just found this thread. I'm 5'10 and 181 down from 232 two years ago. Bought my road bike late last year (age 63)and started off with 100 miles a month which continued to increase to now over 600 monthly. My wife and kids says I'm too skinny (32" waist) but carry the weight in my football and now cycling thighs. Looking to drop antoher 10 to 15 lbs. but don't tell my wife.

I'm new to the forums and thought I'd pop in here first as I'm using cycling in conjunction with my weight loss program.....I won't post my weight but will say I'm down almost 55 lbs in just about two years....I needed something fun to do for exercise as the gym is not my cup of tea....I have about 40 lbs to go and I'll get there with the assistance of my new Trek 7.3.....she's fun to ride....
