MTB race report 8/28
I started racing again after a 20 year hiatus. I got 3rd in Beginner 50+ last month and got 6th last Saturday--with a relocated, dislocated finger from practice two days before the event. It was pretty shocking after the crash to see my left pinky sideways
Even more creepy to push it back into place. I thought I wasn't going to be able to race nor do my upcoming century but I was able to race by buddy taping it to the ring finger. The race had 1750 feet of climbing in 11 miles.

Nice job on your return to racing. 170 ft/mile is a lot of climbing. It would be a race that I avoided.

This so. cal. series has lots of vert, lol. I'd run the course a month ago but forgot how much there was in such a short lap. We had two laps, sport, expert and pros had three--ugh.
