best commuting and touring tires for fx2 disc
Hey all! I would like to start commuting with my fx2 disc to work now that the weather is getting warmer. Also have a GAP weekend from Cumberland to Pittsburgh in June. I have the Bontrager comp2 on the bike right now and am wondering if those will suffice for the GAP? Also, any advice for commuting and touring is welcomed and appreciated! Happy cycling!

If that FX2 has the 35mm Bontrager H2 tires, those will be fine for the GAP.
For road commuting on "average" roads, they should be fine - but as DocJames noted, depends on your roads.

Solid point lol! I will be riding paved roads to work and back. The trek only goes on pavement and some crushed limestone on local rail trails. It has the H2 stock tires on it right now with about 500 miles on them. Thank you for your help!

My route through the city is filled with all sorts of assorted random debris, so personally I prefer the peace of mind and extreme puncture resistance of Gatorskins rolling underneath on my way to and from work. If you find yourself dealing with frequen flats, they're an upgrade worth considering.
Have fun on the GAP. I'll be out there and on the C&O a few times this season.
