I havent been to the Hershey Swap meet, or any meet yet for that matter. I just recently got my 951 up and running after about a year or so down time. I did alot of rebuilding, modifications and repair work at the time. This upcoming year I'll definitely have to attend some events.

I'm leading the C+ ride next Monday the 25th - it'll probably be a small group, since the club's fall tour ride to Cape May leaves the next morning. Come out and play!
Feel free to pm if you have additional questions!

Rocking the roads of Bama
Hey guys and gals,
Might be moving to Pittsburgh from Central Connecticut.
What is the riding like around the southern part of Pitt? Am I going to get my soul crushed by the hills/mountains?

Hills are fine. I'm looking at the Southwest part of town, seems like the riding might be pretty good out there.

You'll find plenty of nice rides in that area. I actually lived in the south hills (Baldwin Borough) of Pittsburgh for most of my life. Now I'm just an hour further south, so I still ride there a lot. My club The Western Pennsylvania Wheelmen have regular scheduled rides in that area as well. They also publish a map book, or CD with routes all over our area. It's a good group of people, and they have rides for every type, and ability of rider.
Hope to see you on the "Burgh" roads soon,
Denny

Hey, I'm going up to Danville on November 1-2 so my wife can interview at the hospital. What's to do in the area? Hiking, biking? My google search wasn't encouraging.

Hello again, I'm in Washington, PA and did a car tour of the city. The South Park area looks pretty good to ride, but would probably be tough to get to.
How is the Cecil area? Saw some houses that I liked in that area, also North Strabane. How far is that from the good riding area?
Where is the good riding area again?
Thanks for your help.

Washington, PA is a great place to live, and ride. Plenty of nice back roads to explore. We have a lot of mapped routes in, and around that area. South Park is actually real easy to get to from that area as well. Another park to consider is Mingo Creek which is in Washington County. There are a few rail-trail systems in the area as well.

Hey folks,
For my first post, thought I'd say "Hi" to all the PA folks.
I usually ride down at Wissahickon (Philly) but if I'm lazy after work, I'll go do some laps around Valley Forge.
If there's a Martin here: thanks for helping me after the wreck on sunday!
Jim

I wouldn't mind hooking up with some of you for rides once I get a few miles under my belt. I picked a bad time of year to start cycling!! I'll be on my trainer for most of the winter, I imagine. I work 6-7 days a week too, so it's tough to get away sometimes.
