Another P.G. county rider here; lifelong north-central county resident. With one end of the WB&A trail (and urgently wanting the bridge over the river to be completed!) almost at my doorstep, I spend way too much time on it; alternatively "The Pig Farms" (USDA research center, been riding there 50+ years). Usually by myself but sometimes my friends convince me to ride with them further away.

Then you must live in or near Bowie? I grew up in Bowie, and my mother still lives there. I occasionally ride the WB&A w/ my brother and his daughter. Will be nice once they finally connect AA & PG Co segments. Although the AA Co end is only about 5-ish miles? We rode it this past summer. Be nice if it could eventually get hooked up w/ the B&A trail.

I'm just past the other end of the trail, in Old Seabrook. From my house to the far end of the trail in Bowie and back WAS 18.04 miles, until they closed off some for the new bridge construction, so now it's 15.0 miles round trip. The bridge is supposed to be done in June -- let's see. The best I've done is a 19.0mph average; note that's a 66 year old rider and 42 year old bike.

The "AA Side" addition for me is significant, not quite doubling the trip -- and hopefully there will be tie-ins to other trails eventually.

19mph, quite the pace, esp on an older bike.

Cecil County/Eastern Shore here. Ride on the C&D canal path 2-3x per week, mostly on the paved portions, sometimes on the gravel roads. Rest of the time is riding in and around Cecilton.

I’m in Anne Arundel and ride the BWI and WBA trail almost daily.

I am in the same area but ride the roads. Typically, 4 days per week 25-35 miles per ride.

This weekend I did a combo loop, starting at B&A trail trail office on Earleigh Heights Road and heading south, looping over the Severn River bridge and then out to Sandy Point State Park for a 33 mile ride.
I posted a few pictures of the caloric temptations on either side of that starting point here.

Hey everyone,
I am sorting some gear that I would like to sell or donate to some local bike shops or co-ops and was wondering if anyone knew of any in Montgomery County, or even better in the Rockville area.
As I've progressed in my technical skills and the hobby of acquiring new bike parts and such, I really need to wittle down what I have.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Not sure if these folks are looking for gear donations. But I know they are looking for bicycles. If they don't want gear, maybe they might know who does?
