S.C. MTB Champ!!!!

My son did his first race today and won in 12 and under men.It was also a junior olympic race and tha SC MTB championships. The course was wet and muddy but he still had a blast. Thanks to Sycamore Cycles for the support.

Hey! Thats great!

From some of the pics you've posted of Jr. hucking stuff, I'm willing to bet he has the competition well outclassed technique wise. That number one has gotta feel good

He said that the kid that got 2nd could scream uphill but was super slow downhill.I guess thats where the miles in Pisgah and DuPont come in.He had a long strip of yellow tape wrap up in his rear wheel while leading,he stopped and got it out but lost the lead. He rode the kids wheel for several miles and got back by him. The wet slick conditions played into his hands.

Might be a first race but may be get him to race one of the Nationals. If he places well there then perhaps look for a team he could ride with.

Congrats to him on the win

You should check out the race in Fontana on the 29th.

I'm trying to make it out there for that one, should be a good time.
