Congrats on the finish. There were plenty of threads with great info on starting up racing, and you said you'd search so there wasn't really any need to repost all of that info.
We need some more info though
'd you enjoy it? what was the course like? What'd you learn?
Congrats again

i loved it. i kinda held back a little because my friend was sick so i tried not to leave him to far behind until he got better then we passed a bunch of people. the course was awsome. 9 miles isnt to long and there were so sweet drops and BIG logs. i whent over the handle bars 1 time. rolled down a hill another. lol
i was getting used to the clipless pedals. speaking of clipless i just got new crank bros egg beater c's and itook my other pedal out. i cant get the crank brothers pedal in it keeps sliding to the side. the crank isnt stripped is it do you think? the race was awsome. defintly looknig forward to more!

Awesome that you had such a sweet race. Nice choice on the pedals, I use the SS version. Is the pedal your left one? If it is, the left pedal has to be turned to the Left to tighten it down. Not the normal righty tighty. Hope this helps and keep up the good work.

What race was it in VA? Cranky monkey in Fairfax?
If it was, I woulda loved to have been there. I ended up opting for the 18-hour race at Brady Saunders though.
You lined up for any other races soon? I'm lined up for a few, let me know if you'll be there:
Sept 11: Poor Farm Fall Cup. Ashland, VA
Sept 25: FORD Off-road duathlon. Fredericksburg, VA
Oct 1: Lodi Farm. Fredericksburg, VA
Oct 22: Panorama farm 6-hour. Charlottesville, VA
If you're gonna be at any of those, you can count on me being there, probably in the junior category too (I'm 15). Good luck with your races man!

Poor Farm https://www.richmondmultisports.com/
FORD Duathlon https://www.zekiah.com/ford/eng/default.asp
Lodi Farm https://www.bikereg.com/races/register.asp?EventID=2623
Panorama 6-hour https://www.bikereg.com/races/register.asp?EventID=2567
The FORD and Lodi Farm will be closest to you as they are both in Fredericksburg, about an hour south of DC. Poor Farm in Ashland is another hour south of Fredericksburg. The Panorama 6-hour is in Charlottesville and is about 3 hours southwest of DC.
I'm not sure of any races in the MD area; I rarely go that far north for a race. I know there is the Maryland Super Series in Susquhanna State Park every year... but it was on Aug 7 this year.
Check out Active.com and Bikereg.com for races too. You can search by region or state at those sites.
