Subaru Cup Report
The event that could have been. The real report is herehttps://www.wors.org/news/article.php...36357a9af824a7
Friday was the XC pre ride. It was a very nice day. The cores was in great condition but was a little rough and sandy. There was a couple wooden bridges that made the cores a bit more fun too.
Pictures of Friday's pre ride.....

Saturday morning. It had been raining since 10 Friday night. Elite class was the first to go out followed by Comp, sport, and then citizen. The rain made comp rider’s only do 3 laps instead of the normal 4. Sport did 3 laps like normal but for safety reasons the bridges were routed around and the cores was shortened. The citizen race was a lap and a half with 70 percent of the original cores routed around.

It was fun, a little wet but not nearly as bad as the XC track.
I had the worst race I think you could have. Im like that NASCAR guy Mark Martin, the guy who cant ever win anything because he is so unlucky. I think I was 3rd or 4th in the lead out. And by then we all new that the first person to the single track was going to win because the mud and rain was so bad. But I had a great position I was gana wait to make some passes on the climb to the top of the ski hill. But in first 10min my rear tire fell off!! I thought somthing broke but it must not have been on tight enough. So I fell to the back of the group that was slow as hell, I couldnt pass anyone. And thats how it all ended for me. It made me mad because I new that it was all over from the begining.
The mud made it fun though, and it was all worth it to me

That what I thought. I dont know how it all happened.
The guy who owns the place wants to keep the trails and make more for summer time use. The problem is Nordic MT is on county land. So they are leasing it from the county or somthing. They can only have 3 none ski events on the land a year. They have moto cross events then the mtb race. But the owner and the local business are getting together to try and get more MTB events. It brings in a lot of money to the area abd they dont like the moto cross guys, they trash the place.
Currently they are not open to the public. They are trying to make it open and add new trails but its all up to the county.
