Two UCI MTB Race in ISRAEL

Hello, here is an invitation to mtb race in the lowest place in the world...
You are welcome to come and participate (UCI E1 race).
A week earlier - (8/11/2003) another race will b in SHOHAM (center of Israel - close to Ben Guryun Air Port) - it is also a UCI
E1 RACE.

The Sdom Mountain 9th Annual Bike Race
will be held in the area of Mount Sdom, close to the Dead Sea, where Lot's wife was turned into a pillar of salt.
You will be cycling along the winding cliff of the Sdom Valley - An Extraordinary Experience. The route passes between white wadi (dry riverbed) walls, shaped by raging floods, creating a spectacular view.
The race is located in the southern part of the Judea Desert, 100 km. south of Jerusalem and about 17 km. south of the historic fortress of Masada, close to the sulphur health springs of the Dead Sea.

40 km. - Men's - 5 Laps
32 km. - Women's - 4 Laps
Course for Experts

Course for Family

SPECIAL - Children's Competition
DEAD SEA INFO:
Dead Sea water contains 26 different minerals including magnesium
and calcium
Sulfur is the major healing element in the thermal-mineral spring waters
along the dead sea shore
Natural mineral spring water flows down from the Judean hills into the
Dead Sea
A mixture of Dead Sea minerals and essential organic elements from the
soil of the shoreline make up the healing mud found at the Dead Sea
The region has dry, unpolluted, pollen-free air, low humidity and an
average of 330 days per year of sun
