Trail of tears Anyone raced this? Looks like a good time, and I'm seriously considering it.

Have not my self but it does look fun. i also like how they point out that a NORBA license is no longer required.
Looks like mostly a road course. I would say get some slicks or semi-slicks on your mtb (if you do not have a cyclo-X rig).
Looks like a fun race.

I'm running hutchinson Pythons, and plan on keeping those. I know how they react and feel. Yeah, I'm not sure what's up with the whole NORBA thing, but whatever. I'm just down for a good time and fun challenge.

I talked to the winner of the womens division two years ago. She said the hardest part is the wind. I've also heard some nasty things about the 7 mile river ride.

WOW! I live about 2 miles from lake Hefner and ride there almost every weekend. Hefner is OKC's major road and offroad bike area. I've never heard of the TOT race. Must not be advertised well, but it sounds like a blast.

I've heard that from others. believe it or not the promoter says that he gets a lot of grief from local cyclists about holding the race because for one saturday a year the trails are crowded for about an hour. The race starts on the trails there but most riders are gone pretty quick. He was talking about haveing to move the race last year since the complaints had gotten so bad. The trails are great!
