Nuclear Nugget AR

Bushwhack Adventures is proud to create a new adventure racing event in the Triangle area in 2013 - the Nuclear Nuggets AR!

The NNAR is designed to introduce new adventure racers to this exciting sport while also giving experienced adventure racers the chance to sharpen their skills.

Bushwhack will be offering two courses at the Nuclear Nuggets AR - 4 hours and 8 hours.

In the 8 hour course, teams will be mountain biking, trekking, and paddling for up to 8 hours as they navigate their way to find checkpoint flags. Estimated distances in each discipline are: paddling 8-10 miles, trekking 5+ miles, biking 20+ miles.

In the 4 hour course, teams will be mountain biking and trekking for up to 4 hours as they navigate their way to find checkpoint flags. Estimated distances in each discipline are: trekking 5+ miles, biking 10+ miles.

Yes, the "Triangle" is in the Raleigh, NC area.

April 1st Update:

No foolin', the first 15 teams to register for the 8hr AR will be offered a rent-free canoe to use during the race, courtesy of Bushwhack Adventures and Frog Hollow Outdoors.

This can make the trip much easier for our out-of-town racers.

Multi-discipline adventure races are cool and great fun. Haha, I bet I don't want to know what the 'free' canoes look like Haha, just kidding - - hope it goes well and everyone has a blast.

AR's are a total blast. Give one a try and you will love it! As for the boats, we work with an amazing outfitter that provides very nice boats. They are not high performance racing boats, but they are not lead sleds either!

Last day to sign up to guarantee yourself a race t-shirt.

Registration will close in a couple of days.

Both of these course are amazing! They are utilizing some great previously unexplored regions around Harris Lake.

Don't miss out! https://www.gobushwhack.com/2013NNAR.html
