If anyone is looking for some cross country mountain bike races for this summer we have some fun ones in Ohio. The Ohio Mountain Bike Championship (OMBC) announced it's 2014 schedule recently. I wrote up a summary of the races that are being held to help new riders figure out which races are the best for them. I've also created a couple of Top 5 lists that will tell you which ones are the longest, fastest, have the most climbing or are the best for beginners. I've also included a list of my Top 5 favorite races in Ohio. Check it out and then come back to the forum to let me know which ones sound the coolest to you.

Cool! Glad you liked it. I was really trying to make this a useful resource for potential racers. What races is she thinking about doing?

She joined an all female race team and committed to doing at least 5 events, but she hasnt picked out which ones yet. She severely dislocated her elbow about a month ago and wont be able to get back on a bike for another few weeks, so she will probably spend more time racing towards the end of the season.
